Pierre Tanguy, poet, critic, and journalist, reveals in this book the vitality of haiku in Brittany, a poetic genre of Japanese origin that has taken root here. He explains the reasons for this success and shares the many initiatives that have emerged in recent years (haiku competitions, involvement of teachers, various publications…).

His "Tro Breizh" of Breton haiku (from Nantes to Brest) leads him to mention the figures of authors, educators, or essayists who have analyzed and popularized this poetic genre, starting with the Brest native Alain Kervern, poet and translator of the Great Japanese Poetic Almanac.

Pierre Tanguy also extensively discusses his readings and encounters related to haiku, giving prominence to all those authors and poets who have published haiku books, both in French and in the Breton language.
