The brief and dense texts and the photographs crafted like a material capture "the invisible / in the moment" in a deliberate stillness, a sought-after freeze-frame, just before takeoff, when thoughts that probe memory are frozen. In a "mix / of rust and shores," light emerges from the cracks, emitting "some iridescences," beams, waves, and light color nuances, revealing its multiple physical properties.

At times liquid, airy, mineral, then arises "the essential feeling" that spreads "the almost not there / whispered light / barely sketched / by a delicate brush." "This appetite for light" reminds us that the radiation of these particles of energy, real or symbolic, is essential for all terrestrial organisms and for every human being.

A recipient of the Paul-Quéré Prize in 2014-2015, Denis Heudré, poet and critic, also an artist, is the author of five poetry books and two biographical narratives. He lives in Noyal-sur-Vilaine (35).
