"The Sacred Waters among the Celts".
Saturday, November 7, 2026
from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM
92, Boulevard du Montparnasse, 75014 Paris
Celtic tradition did not merely acknowledge that water was the essential element for life. It personalized and divinized the various water sources based on perfectly coherent criteria, the knowledge of which is essential for anyone wishing to understand this spirituality.
Water was an indispensable element of rituals. At the confluence of rivers, it was the receptacle for peaceful offerings. Where running water met stagnant water, it constituted a privileged place where weapons and warrior equipment were offered. Some springs were also honored with ex-votos, in recognition of the benefits they provided. These realities are verified throughout Celtic Europe. They cannot be doubted or contested.
This is what you will learn from the specialists invited to this conference.
