This year 2026, the commemoration of the Battle of Saint-Aubin du Cormier will take place on Sunday, July 26, at 3 PM, on the lawn of the Memorial to the Bretons, route de Sens de Bretagne, at the exit of Saint-Aubin du Cormier.
It is in a memorial and fraternal spirit that our Breton associations, Koun Breizh and MAB, Musée Archipel Breton, invite you to come commemorate, as every year, the memory of the battle of July 28, 1488, at Saint-Aubin du Cormier, where Brittany lost its sovereignty, and to unite our hearts to keep the flame alive and together raise the Breton banner that fell there 538 years ago.
In case of rain, we will retreat under the roof of the MAB Koad Sav Pell hut, at the menhir field next door. We also propose to gather at noon at this Memorial Sculpture Park, 300 meters to the right when coming from the Monument to the Bretons, for a picnic before the 3 PM commemoration. Bring your packed lunches, and a fire will be lit for those who enjoy grilling.
To maintain a climate of tranquility and impartiality, as the commemoration is not a partisan political platform, only consensual historical Breton banners are accepted: Kroaz Du, Ducal and Admiralty flags, Gwenn-ha-Du, Anna Vreizh, flags of the Breton countries, inter-Celtic...
