Monique Loquet, née Thobie, passed away on Monday, September 7, in Saint-Nazaire, at the age of 96. Born on August 28, 1930, she lived in Guérande.
Wife of Pêr Loquet, former president of Skoazell Vreizh and former president of the Guérande Book Festival, Monique Loquet long remained in the shadow of her husband's public commitments. Nevertheless, she contributed, for decades, a discreet but significant support alongside him, particularly for "Skoazell Vreizh" and around the "Guérande Book Festival."

A phrase that reminds us how, behind the most visible leaders of the Breton movement, women have often worked alongside them without receiving the same visibility.
Monique and Pêr Loquet also appeared together at the editions of the Guérande Book Festival, another great cultural adventure to which Pêr Loquet dedicated many years.
The religious ceremony will take place on Friday, September 11 at 2:30 PM at the Saint-Aubin collegiate church in Guérande, followed by burial at the old cemetery of Guérande.
