Founded on October 13, 2003, the web media Agence Bretagne Presse (ABP) celebrated its 23rd anniversary yesterday. This was an opportunity to revisit one of the earliest versions of its website, preserved by the Internet Archive.

The screenshot presented here https://web.archive.org/web/20031130212556/http://www.agencebretagnepresse.com/ dates from November 2003, just a few weeks after the launch of the site on October 13, 2003. It already features the major sections that still structure its editorial line today: politics, culture, economy, environment, reunification of Brittany, and the history of Brittany.

At a time when social networks hardly existed and online journalism was still in its infancy, ABP was a pioneer, among the first pure players of information in Brittany. Born on the Internet, the web media took the bet of providing independent Breton information, disseminated for free and accessible to all, including Bretons at the ends of the earth.

Twenty-three years later, ABP continues its mission: to inform about historical Brittany, its five departments, and Bretons from elsewhere.
