The territorial division carried out by Hollande, without any consultation of the local populations concerned, crystallizes discontent because it ignores historical and cultural specificities. Similarly, education plays a central role in this dynamic.
The demand for teaching regional languages and history is particularly strong in Alsace, Brittany, Corsica, and the Basque Country, where it reaches 80 to 90% in these territories. Savoie and the southern half of the hexagon are not lagging behind.
The AFB-EKB fully shares this observation and will ask candidates for the Presidential election to take a position on this issue.
This reform must be general in nature for all of France, and we request that Brittany be chosen as the territory for experimentation and application of this new governance.
