Reunification: 56% of residents in the five Breton departments in favor, according to Ifop.

A survey by Ifop published on October 22, 2026, reveals that 56% of residents in the five Breton departments support the attachment of Loire-Atlantique to the Brittany region, compared to 44% in 2012. Support reaches 62% in Loire-Atlantique and 52% in the other four departments. Conducted for Regions and Solidarity Peoples (R&PS), the survey also shows a majority support for federalism and the recognition of regional languages.
